INDIANAPOLIS (July 27, 2021) — Early Learning Indiana and Christel House Indianapolis are teaming up to create a new early childhood education center — Day Early Learning at Manual — on the south side of Indianapolis.
Early Learning Indiana awards Stronger Together grants to support long-term stability of Indiana’s early childhood education industry
INDIANAPOLIS (June 10, 2021) – Early Learning Indiana, with generous support from Lilly Endowment Inc, announced today the seven organizations it has chosen to receive $100,000 grants to launch regional shared service hubs. Hubs created through the Stronger Together grant program will allow local child care providers to streamline their operational services, saving money and allowing them to focus their time and energy on providing high-quality child care.
Early Learning Indiana is on a mission to ensure every child is empowered with essential skills to be successful in kindergarten and beyond. Our mission cannot be accomplished with organized and passionate individuals working towards a common goal. After decades in the early care and education field, Vanessa Fletcher spent more than four years as the school leader at Day Early Learning Lilly Family Center before her retirement. Now, Fletcher serves as an active member of the Day Nursery Auxiliary.
The 1828 Leadership Project, offered by IndyHub and presented by Citizens Energy Group, is a program designed to convene cross-sector groups of young leaders and change makers in Indianapolis. Early Learning Indiana’s Development Director, Emily Nelson, was nominated by her peers to take part in the 10th cohort of the project, which began in September 2020.
