Teacher Appreciation Week
Our teachers are critical to our mission to empower all students with essential skills for success in kindergarten and beyond. And while they deserve appreciation year round, we are excited to celebrate them during Teacher Appreciation Week, taking place May 3-7. Our theme this year is “Hats Off to Teachers.”
Through conversations with our school leaders, we learned our teachers feel most appreciated when they are reminded of their impact. Based on that guidance, we’ve planned the below activities to show our classroom teachers our gratitude.
- Members of our Senior Leadership Team will be delivering a surprise present – a new Day Early Learning hat that teachers will wear on Thursday, May 6. Parents are encouraged to send their children in their favorite hat that day, too.
- Each child will take home a card-making kit containing crayons, a blank card and envelope to decorate at home for their teachers. Families will drop off finished cards at centers to be distributed to teachers. You can take part in this activity by creating a digital card here.
None of this would be possible without your generous support, and we thank you for recognizing the importance of high-quality early learning and the critical role educators and their families play in a child’s development every day.
