Early Learning Indiana is offering two no-cost professional growth opportunities designed to help programs build quality from within. Whether you are onboarding new educators or strengthening classroom practice, these opportunities provide structured support to elevate teaching and learning across your program.

Who Is Eligible?

To participate in Classroom Ready or Boosting Early Learning and Literacy, organizations must:

Be a nonprofit serving a charitable purpose

Be committed to serving families who qualify for child care subsidies

Serve multiple classrooms of children

Classroom Ready

Equipping your team to thrive in the classroom.

This program is ideal if you:

Have new-to-the-classroom team members
Have recently restructured your program or site
Want to strengthen foundational instructional practices

What’s Included:

150 hours of online and in-classroom instruction
Focus on child development, classroom management and effective teaching practices
20-week program commitment
Participant and cooperative teacher materials available in English and Spanish
Leadership opportunity for a seasoned educator to serve as a cooperative teacher and earn a stipend for their time and expertise

This pathway builds core instructional knowledge for new educators while creating meaningful leadership opportunities for experienced team members.

Boosting Early Language and Literacy

Using LENA technology, data and coaching to strengthen classroom interactions.

This program is ideal if you:

Want to strengthen early language and literacy practices
Are looking for a shorter implementation timeline
Want to use technology and data to enhance classroom interactions

What’s Included:

Six-week implementation
15+ hours of specialized professional development
Use of LENA “talk pedometer” technology to provide teachers with actionable feedback
Leadership opportunity for a seasoned educator to serve as a coach
Choice of a classroom materials package (estimated value of $250+ per classroom)
