Our newest early care and education center, Day Nursery Northwest, will open at the end of this month. The staff and many of the students will be moving from our current location near 56th and Guion Road but we will still have room for new enrollments. Like before, this center will serve children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. The new center is 14,400 square feet (3,000 feet bigger than our old space) and will have 12 classrooms (3 more than before). This new location gives us more space for infants, toddlers and twos. Director Marla Segal and Office Manager Shannon Taylor have been very busy making sure the transition between locations will be smooth. All Day Nursery centers feature an educational program utilizing the Creative Curriculum, which is in line with the Indiana Standards for early education. We feature income based rates for qualifying working and student families and CCDF child care vouchers are welcome. Free monthly health exams and immunizations are available by our pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Our playground equipment is all brand new and our inside exercise space (we like to call it the Gross Motor Area in early ed lingo!) features a gym with a trike track painted on the floor circling around a play area. The colors are bright and cheerful and we have added as many windows as possible for natural light. I am sure you will find this new center to be a great environment for young children. The layout was designed by Candace Berger of Envirospace, Inc of Zionsville. And the transformation of the space into a child care center was done by the Edwards-Rigdon Construction Companyof Danville. Brian Turley,VP and Kyle Wooten, the on-site supervisor really are special guys and have put a lot of personal attention into making our newest center very nice. We will miss them after the building is complete.
The center is located in Park 100 just west of 73rd and Zionsville Road. The address is 5735 W. 73rd Street. Our phone number stays the same (317) 291-8048. You are invited to an open house Tuesday, August 25 from 3:30 to 6:00 pm. The ribbon cutting scheduled for 4:00 pm.
