Family applications Open today in 10 On My Way Pre-K Pilot Counties!
Earlier today, the state announced that On My Way Pre-K applications are now being accepted in 10 of the new expansion counties! This is a big step and a direct result of the hard work Early Learning Champions have put in to make early education a reality for more Hoosier families.
Starting today families in Bartholomew, Delaware, Elkhart, Howard, Kosciusko, Madison, Marshall, Monroe, St. Joseph and Tippecanoe counties will be able to apply for grants for their children to attend high-quality pre-K starting in January of 2018!
To be eligible families must:
- Have an income below 127 percent of the federal poverty level,
- Have parents or guardians working or attending school or a training program, and
- Have a child that was 4 years old by August 1, 2017 and be eligible to start kindergarten in August 2018.
Families interested in applying should visit https://prek.carefinderindiana.org/StateLottery/ or call Early Learning Indiana’s statewide childcare resource and referral line at 1-800-299-1627 for assistance.
