Youthful Giving

books-out-of-box-2Students in Amy Miller’s preschool class at the Day Nursery Hendricks County Early Care & Education Center spread a little Christmas cheer this holiday season. Each year the class does a service project to get in the spirit of giving. This year they chose to donate new books to the children who had to visit the Emergency Room at Clarian West Medical Center over the holidays. Cathy Stoll, Director of Marketing at Clarian West said the book donation to the hospital’s “Lullaby Library” was a welcome gift. For many kids and families, the only “medical” setting they experience is their pediatrician’s office so the goal during a visit to the hospital is to make the experience as pleasant as possible.  The Day Nursery students hope their donation will help make the visit a positive one.
